About Oklahoma CSI
Oklahoma CSI was founded by Nic Debruin, a lifelong Tulsan and former police officer with over 30 years of law enforcement education, training, and experience. In 1993, he attended Rogers State University and eventually transferred to Northeastern State University – Tahlequah, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He began his law enforcement career at the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office before taking a position as a patrol officer at the Muskogee Police Department. In 1999, he was hired by the Tulsa Police Department as a patrol officer. Within three years he was promoted to the Special Investigations Division as a narcotics detective. Later in his career he was selected as one of four detectives to work in a Street Crimes unit. In 2012, he left TPD and set out on his own. As the owner and operator of Oklahoma CSI, Debruin now uses his investigation expertise to help clients and attorneys build, defend, and win cases.
